Many women fear hormone replacement therapy due to published research study outcomes conducted using synthetic hormones and conjugated estrogens (hormones extracted from pregnant horse urine).

We only use plant based products which are chemically and structurally identical to the natural estradiol produced by your ovaries. More than 25 years of scientific research demonstrates the safety profile of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) and improved quality of life in women experiencing bothersome symptoms of menopause. In addition, there is mounting evidence to show that BHRT may prevent against some age related disease.

Please see our Frequently Ask Questions (FAQ) section of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) for more information.

SIGNS YOU ARE SUFFERING FROM LOW ESTROGEN

Hot Flashes: Do you suffer from hot flashes?

Get flushed, rapid heartbeat, perspiration, a chill when the hot flash passes?

This is a common symptom in women who are going through menopause. Decreasing estradiol (estrogen) causes the body’s thermostat, the hypothalamus to “reset” so even slight changes in temperature can bring on a ‘hot flash”. When your hypothalamus thinks your body is too warm it brings on a hot flash to help cool you down.

Hot flashes are not only annoying they can be an underlying symptom of other health issues. Book a consult to learn more.

Complications: Hot flashes can interfere with quality of life, impact day-to-day activities and sleep. Scientific research suggests that women who experience hot flashes have an increased risk of heart disease, and greater bone loss than their peers who do not experience hot flashes.

Mood Changes: Women with low estrogen often experience changes in mood, experience mood swings, anxiety and depression. For some women these symptoms are debilitating and life altering.

Body Changes: Low estradiol levels can contribute to decreases in bone density, decreased muscle mass and increases in body fat.

Scientific research suggests that optimal levels of estradiol in women is cardio-protective, protects against Alzheimer’s disease and even breast cancer.

Decreased Sex Drive: As we age our hormone levels decrease. In women low testosterone and low estradiol levels can result in decreased interest in sex.

Poor Sleep: Low estradiol levels contribute to poor sleep and non-restorative sleep.

Cognitive Function: Low estradiol levels contribute to brain fog, memory loss and decreased cognitive function.
